Assholes are every where, even hollywood...
I am tired and I do not have the energy for a full blown rant right now. Maybe later. In short, Mel Gibson is a fucking asshole.
Talk amongst yourselves, I will return later.

Not Ready To Make Nice
This video shows how the Dixie Chicks see things as black and white. Freedom of speech has NO gray area Mr. President. That is the beauty of America, freedom Of Speech! No matter who it's about or who it pisses off. Why was it such a big deal Natilie said that she was ashamed that Bush is a fellow Texan? At that point in time, Bush's people should have been more concerned with other real issues, not the issue of an American using their guaranteed rights.
I love this new song. It applies to my life in so many ways right now. Forgive sounds good, Forget.... I'm not sure I could.
'Cause I'm not ready to make nice.
Some are disappointed...But I say rock on Chicks! Screw those who don't like you because you have an opinion and the audacity to voice it!

All work and no play....Makes me....ughhhhh...Less than satisfied!

I wish we all worked a 4 day work week. I feel that the week goes by too slow and that the weekend goes by waaaay too fast! It doesn't seem that I really ever have enough time to do what I need to do. Then I don,t have enough time to do what I want to do. Damn work week. Don't get me wrong, I love my job and the people I work with, but damn...I guess I'm just lazy! Hehehehe! What about a 5 day weekend and a 3 day work week! wooohuuuu! Workin' for the weekend!

Wild Hair!
Today I got a wild hair up my ass and thought it was high time that I took care of my hair. Wait, I mean take care the hair on my head not the one that was previously up my ass, just to clarify. Anyway, my previous hair-chopper-atter has screwed my do up way to many times lately. I decided I would try someone new. So, I went to Great Clips. I know, I know, GASP! My haircut looked great BTW! If you want to know how to get a freebie, just ask your stylist to cut a hunk outta your ear! YES! SHE CUT MY DAMN EAR!!!! OHHHHHHHHHHHH SHITTTTTTTTTT!
It hurt like a mf'er! Convo. that proceded the offense:
me: aghhhhh!!!! (head jerk to the extreme right).
EdwardScissorHands: oh honey, did I get you?
me: yessssss, that hurt!
ESH: it's not bleeding...
me:wait for it, when it starts it won't stop....wait....
ESH:oh my goodness! It's bleeding alot! Are you going to cry?
me: yes, you just cut my ear off....aghhhh, urghhhh (blood gushes from my ear).
So here I am, 3 hours later and my ear is still bleeding.
Dammit! At least I didn't have to pay for my $10.00 haircut.
I think I would rather have paid for it to be honest. Ya' know, instead of having my ear chopped at. On the other hand, my hair look great. Or at least let that wild hair up my ass just itch for a while.

Superman Mini Kindda' Weekend
I am so blah tonight. I spent the entire weekend doing basically nothing. I did go see Superman today. I had heard bad things, but I give it 2 thumbs up. It cost as much for 2 lg drinks as it did to get into the matinee showing. Well, 3 $ difference. Also, I think I found the car that I like. At least one of them. I drove a mini this weekend. I had no intention in buying it, (color: pepper white?..??..) kindda' off white. But on the inside it was fantastic...I think I want one...I'm not sure...Yes, I want one....uhhhhh.
I must rest by brain now for the work week ahead.

It's the end of the world as we know it...
I am not a Jew by birth. I guess if anything I am Jew-ish. (saw a shirt on t-shirt hell with that on it, I think I want one of those in a nice blue shade). Any way, back to my point...
I do not know what others believe, nor do I care. I will not judge someone based on their choice of religious zeal. I know that some people may think that Jews are bad or that anyone who is a supporter of the Jewish people might not be up to par, but screw 'em. We did not kill Jesus! Ask the Romans ( and don't forget Pilate) about that, not the Jewish race. I do not understand why people have such hatred for Jews.
I have a nagging inside of me to go to G-D. The only way I know how to do this is through study, prayer, and eventually Aliyah.
I am sad that so many in Israel right now are in harms way.
What does not kill us, only makes us stronger.

When I was younger,
I never knew that music could be so expressive even if I did not write it. It brings so many things to mind, good & bad, while I am driving my 30 miles home and singing at the top of my voice. Here is one I listened to yesterday...Oh, so close to the truth.
you hadn't seen your father in such a long time
he died in the arms of his lover how dare he
your mother never left the house
she never married anyone else you took it upon yourself to console her
you reminded her so much of your father
so you were banished and you wonder why you're so hypersensitive
and why you can't trust anyone but us
but then how can i begin to forgive her so many years under bridges with dirty water
she was foolish and selfish and cowardly if you ask me
i don't know where to begin in all of my 50 odd years
i have been silently suffering and adapting perpetuating and enduring
who are you younger generation to tell me that i have unresolved problems
not many examples of fruits of this type of excruciating labour
how can you just throw words around like grieve and heal and mourn
i feel fine we may not have been born as awake as you were
it was much harder in those days we had paper routes uphill both ways
we went from school to a job to a wife to instant parenthood
i walked into his office i felt so self-conscious on the couch
he was sitting down across from me he was writing down his hypothesis i don't know
i've got a loving supportive wife who doesn't know how involved she should get
you say his interjecting was him just calling me on my shit?
just the other day my sweet daughter i was driving past 203 i walked up the stars in my minds eyes
i remember how they would creak loudly
she was only responsive with a drink he was only responsive by photo
i was only trying to be the best big brother i could
i've walked sometimes confused sometimes ready to crack open wide
sometimes indignant sometimes raw
can you imagine i pay him 75 dollars an hour sometimes
it feels like highway robbery
and sometimes it's peanuts
i wish it could last a couple more hours
so here we both are battling similar demons (not coincidentally)
you see in getting beyond knowing it solely intellectually you're not relinquishing your majestry
you are wise you are warm you are courageous you are big
and i love you more now than i ever have in my whole life

News of the Weird (.962)
WEEK OF JULY 16, 2006
LEAD STORYThe Texas insanity-defense law requires that a delusional person acting under "orders" from God be judged not guilty by reason of insanity, but that a delusional person acting under "orders" from Satan be considered sane, according to prominent forensic psychiatrist Park Dietz (according to a June USA Today story). Thus, Dietz believed that Andrea Yates (at press time being retried in Houston) knew that drowning her kids upon command of someone "without moral authority" (such as Satan) was wrong and thus that she did not qualify for insanity-law protection. Dietz later concluded the opposite in another Texas child-killing case because God had supposedly assured that mother that her kids would be better off dead. [USA Today, 6-20-06]

A sigh of relief...
The search for the female black bear that injured an "idiot taking pictures" has been called off!
All bears can breath easy now!
I still think that the human involved in this is a dumbass!!!
Respect the animals people! They were here first.

I am so glad it is 2006 and not the 1950's!
Given the present situation in Isreal, I thought that we could all use some humor in our lives...
The following is from a 1950's Home Economics textbook intended for High School girls, teaching how to prepare for married life.
1. Have dinner ready: Plan ahead, even the night before, to have a delicious meal - on time. This is a way of letting him know that you have been thinking about him, and are concerned about his needs. Most men are hungry when they come home and the prospects of a good meal are part of the warm welcome needed.
2. Prepare yourself: Take 15 minutes to rest so you will be refreshed when he arrives. Touch up your makeup, put a ribbon in your hair and be fresh looking. He has just been with alot of work- weary people. Be a little gay and a little more interesting. His boring day may need a lift.
3. Clear away the clutter. Make one last trip through the main part of the house just before your husband arrives, gathering up school books, toys, paper, etc. Then run a dust cloth over the tables. Your husband will feel he has reached a haven of rest and order, and it will give you a lift, too.
4. Prepare the children: Take a few minutes to wash the children's hands and faces if they are small, comb their hair, and if necessary, change their clothes. They are little treasures and he would like to see them playing the part.
5. Minimize the noise: At the time of his arrival, eliminate all noise of washer, dryer, dishwasher or vacuum. Try to encourage the children to be quiet. Be happy to see him. Greet him with a warm smile and be glad to see him.
6. Some Dont's: Don't greet him with problems or complaints. Don't complain if he's late for dinner. Count this as minor compared with what he might have gone through that day.
7. Make him comfortable: Have him lean back in a comfortable chair or suggest he lie down in the bedroom. Have a cool or warm drink ready for him. Arrange his pillow and offer to take off his shoes. Speak in a low, soft, soothing and pleasant voice. Allow him to relax and unwind.
8. Listen to him: You may have a dozen things to tell him, but the moment of his arrival is not the time. Let him talk first.
9. Make the evening his: Never complain if he does not take you out to dinner or to other places of entertainment; instead, try to understand his world of strain and pressure, his need to be home and relax.
10. The goal: Try to make your home a place of peace and order where your husband can relax.
PS- all these things should be done while wearing WAY to many layers of clothing under a dress while balenceing in the perfect hilled shoe... how else would you vaccum?!?!

If I Were Cartman
Pee My Pants...
Yes, it is true, I partake of the guilty pleasure of Rock Star...I only allow myself one "reality" show a season, and hey, I like rock!
OMG! I thought I would pee my pants tonight while watching!
I lauged sooo hard when Zayra got smart with Gilby!! I'm like chick, funny but *sigh*, you suck like a Hoover. Please exit stage right.
I have tried to vote both weeks and I can not seem to get threw online & I refuse to pay 10 cents to vote! (yes, some would say I am tight w/ the $) I wish MSN would get their shit together.
Alright kids, have a great night and happy upcoming hump day!

To buy or not to buy, that is the argument...
I drive a 1999 Mercury Cougar. (Never mind that white piece of crap next to my car). It is black, and shiny, comfy, and it just feels like "home" to me, (even though, it does smell funny from time to time). It was used when we bought it 2 years ago. Apparently, certain people that live in my house do not like to work on the car when it needs it. Keep in mind it (knock on wood) it has never had any major motoring issues. The problem is always something minor. The window on the driver's side has a mind of it's own. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. The passenger window does not go down to well either. But, it is a good car and it gets me where I am going. I drive 30 miles one way to work. It recently had a new sound system installed. It is so damn hot here in Ga. That I hope to get windows tinted soon. I only owe a little over 3000 on it. It gets 22mpg & has 113,000 miles on it. My payments and insurance are both VERY affordable.
Other people are not so "in" to my ride. Why should I buy a new car? I need opinions on both sides. If I have to buy a new car, I have been looking at the G5 and the Caliber.

$1000.00 Kitty
Recently, one of my precious kitties has been ill. We have managed to spend $1000.00 on Theodore. Of course he's the very handsome furball pictured here. As you can see, he is a very well balanced (on the Torah) cat. Astonishingly sweet. I am an animal lover and I believe that if you take an animal in to become a part of your family, you MUST take care of all their needs.
I would never leave this cat to die, which is why he now lives with us. His past owners moved out of my fathers rental house and left poor Theodore to starve to death.
We named him Theodore because he is very lovable, like a Teddy Bear!
I know, I know, get to the point!
Well, why are vets sooooo DAMN expensive????????? I guess I know the answer...They know you have to use them and well, they will charge what they want. Basically, "hey, want to see how much you love your animal." WTF?!?
We have thought about ins., but it is rather pricey.
I just wish emergency vets in Chattanooga would not rob you.
For an IV and to have urine removed from Theodore's bladder (think about 10 oz) during a yucky bout with a UTI it was $700.00.
Hello...Jesse James used a gun!!!! At least!

Magic Buttons
It is funny to me this evening when I think of an important person in my life. I reflect the days events as I am about to settle my sweet little head on my big fluffy pillow.
Around, ohh...let's say 8 in the PM, my phone rings. I have the ans. mach. Turned off today because the out going message says "thanks for calling the Smith residence..." There is no one named Smith who lives here, but it confuses ppl whom i prefer to not speak with! Yes, I screen my calls.
Of course I ans the phone and I hear not much of anything. Then I faintly here a familiar voice talking with an unfamiliar voice.
Now, this familiar voice has joked about this type of thing happening before, except that person was on the receiving end. This time they were not...I was! It was hilarious. I pushed buttons and yelled into the phone and after a few minutes I hear "Is that my phone?", it was classic.
So this is a lesson to all... Do not drive with your phone in your pocket or on your belt. That's right, I think I even heard a blinker.

Another Stupid Person
I can't believe it!!! There has been another "bear attack". Yes, in this case the bear was shot and killed (big surprise).
A tourist in Gatlinburg, TN (well known for bears...Duh) was driving down the road with his wife. A mother bear and 2 cubs come out of the woods and step onto the road...This dumb ass stops his car,OPENS HIS DOOR,to get good pictures, his dog gets out and runs at the bear, bear is pissed, protects her cubs as ANY mother would do when threatened, picked up the dog in her mouth, then the stupid mans jumps out to protect his dog. Mother bear drops the pooch and the swats at the stupid man. Lucky for him he escaped with his life. His dog escaped as well. But guess what...THEY KILLED THE BEAR!!!!!WTF!?!
Wonder what the bears would say if we shot the stupid people?

Fat Kid
When I was young, I was often referred to as this, much to my dismay. So, now I am an adult and I am still "fat". I have a medical condition for this and, well, I love to eat! Who doesn't? I love to cook and all that. While I am preparing dinner for my hubby and I, I listen to the radio. The station in town that I like is 96.5 The Mountain. I love their music and most of their DJs.
The other day, they introduced someone new. He goes by the name "fat kid". Now, I do not know if this particular gentleman is thin or not (as said name suggests) but I just can't get past this "handle"! I don't know if I don't like his program or if it is really just that damn name!
I try every evening to listen...Oz is on before Fat Kid...I really, really like Oz's program.
But I just can't get around that blasted name.
Society labels us enough. Do we really need someone to label themselves as Fat Kid on a radio station???
Now I know that I am a bitch...That's just me sometimes...But this is RMW... not
Listen To The Bitch!!!
I don't know, maybe I'm just being silly. It DOES bother me though. However, I will be unable to listen to another station...The Mountain Rocks!!!

Summer Fun
Remember those hot summer days of playing in the yard sprinkler? It has been hot enough to do just that down here for the last few weeks. Taking these photos almost sent me running through with my camera in hand. It was sooooo hot & humid that day. Those were the days...
Does anyone have any fond childhood memories of summer?

:0) Well, off to a new work week. Hang in there, maybe some are lucky enough to have a long weekend coming up.
I know I am one of the few. Don't work to hard!!!

Slumping Story

I figured what the hell, it's Friday! I'll post this. Some Real people might find it entertaining.
On most issues, I am Red. To the dismay of some of my family members.
I have recently decided that the present El Presidentay is getting on my damn nerves.
If you are not smart enough to say coherent things, at least hire someone who can write the speeches for you who didn't just graduate from kindergarten!

Rant Free
Tonight, I have decided to be sans Rant! I know, I know...For as much B & M that is regularly scheduled...it is odd. I had a pretty fantastic day. The new person I am training at the rock quarry is actually picking up on things quite well. Today was her 2nd day. She knows more than the under-educated (yet experienced....Sure, if u say so) buffoon who I have had the pleasure of working w/ over the last month!
So, came home, cooked, inserted DVD, (that I assumed would be lame because of certain reviews) settled in, and proceeded to be blown away!

AeonFlux was MOST excellent!!! I loved watching it on Liquid Television! Now it has been brought to life! I usually would not use my blog to shamelessly promote movies...I would leave that to the REAL movie critics, but I could not refrain...I loved it!

Sick & Tired

Apparently, I am sick. Unlike some...I am weak. I love to bitch & moan about being sick. Yes, yes I know it's going around but, I have been dealing with this thing for over a month. It is not giving up easily and has led my M.D. to believe that I have "allergies". So, feeling very fatigued, I strolled through massive amounts of cold, flu, sinus, & allergy information
to entertain the bloggers of the world. Here goes:
1. Colds are caused by hundreds of common viruses that are easily passed from human to human. Thus, you must actually ingest someone else's "snot", if you will, to become infected.
It can be inhaled from a sneeze or passed to your nose after you touch the stair railing and then taking a quiet moment to root around in the nasal cavity for any offenders. Don't try to play it off, we all do it.
2. Influenza is also caused by inhalation of respiratory fluids. Best defense...(they say)....get a flu shot. If you are allergic to eggs, you are SOL. No flu shot for you. The vaccine is actually "grown" in chicken eggs. Yum!
3. An allergy is a heightened sensitivity to a foreign substance, (I have lived in this part of the country most of my life and I eat locally harvested honey...I would think that we would have moved past the "foreign" part a long time ago.) ,which causes the body's defense system to overreact when defending itself. Normally, the immune system would only react if a harmful substance, such as a bacteria, attacks the body. For people with allergies, their own immune system is working too hard, and it reacts even when relatively harmless substances such as pollen are present. The severity of an allergic reaction can vary from mild discomfort to life threatening situations.

4. Sinisitis: put #1,2 or 3 to good use and BAM...sinisitis!

So, tonight I think I will tell you a story of my adventures in shopping. I know, I know you can't wait. But, I said I would use this blog to state things that I must, so that my head will not blow up!!!Picture it, shopping for salad stuff, soda, bread, and steaks to grill. I carefully make my selections being sure not to mingle the unmingleable (is that a word?). Lovely salad greens far,far away from RAW meat.
I arrive at the checkout, no one ahead of me, two girls, one ringing and one bagging, great!
I figure I will be outta' there in no time.
2nd girl begins to bag.....Lettuce, shredded cheese, and then tops it off with two packs of raw steaks!
Now, I understand some would not be bothered by this....Oh say, the hubby. As long as cow doesn't moo, he will eat it! But, I, myself, was not in the mood for an ecoli casserole!
I work in a lab, they instill fear of contamination into tech's. I guess it just carries over into the home life as well.
My suggestion: all "baggers" should have to graduate some sort of licensing procedure to pack away my greens and my steaks. But of course, this is far fetched since some people should be required to get certified in parenting....That's never gonna' happen....
So dear grocery baggers of the world....Unite to stop the crazy madness! Say no to the Ecoli Casserole!

Bearly There?

Disclaimer: do not read this if you are easily offened by other's opinions that do not agree with your own.
First, please read this article printed in the Washington Post.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/06/14/AR2006061401500.html
Let's see.....he's hungry, cranky, big, and he probably smells funny.

So, I pose this question to you: Would you go through his backyard expecting nothing to happen to you? I sure as hell wouldn't. Some ppl would. Some of these ppl will unfortunatly be injured or killed in the process. I feel sorry for any family that has lost a loved one in a "bear attack",
but damn...it's the woods, a bear...and guess what, he was there first!
Ppl should use better judement before choosing a vacation site.
Now, the wrong animal has been destroyed for fear that it was the "attack bear!!!"
Listen up campers around the world...Bears are WILD animals!
They can hurt, mangle and kill you!
So, please be kind to the animals and stay out of their backyard and if they come into yours...let them be. Remeber they once did live on the land that your local "Devil's 5 & Dime" is now sprawling over.

Medicated for your protection
Today was such a Monday...Grrrrrrr.... See, it wouldn't have been so bad if I hadn't been "talked to" by the higher ups Friday...So I processed what they had to say...& I was almost over it...then she gets a little smarty, smarty with me today...Ok a little background, the other day she told me I was not being compassionate enough with a client...WTF! When it comes to my job and the ppl I deal with, I am SUPER compassionate. So FF to next morning. Coworker's dog dies unexpectedly...CW has had dog 9 yrs...CW very upset...I console her....boss lady P.O 'cause I am not all nose-to-the-damn-grindstone for like 2 seconds....GRRRRRRRRRRR (Very hard grind of my teeth)! So if anyone needs to learn to be compassionate in our little facility...Its boss lady! COLD FISH!
So I guess that I need a higher dose of happy pills or
as a friend informs me....a whole new happy pill...LOL...
BTW,I also thought that the latest visit w/
family was uneventful, I mentioned this to my mother...

she smiles and says.."We are all on medicine now!"....

Stupid Girl
Recently, I discovered a very cool song. I am so glad that this risk taker decided to do it again for fans! If you search the latest blogs, you find that many ppl do NOT approve of Pink's new song ,Stupid Girl. I found the video entertaining as well.
So if you are thin(I mean SUPER thin), tanned, and one of "those girls", hung up on your looks instead of your brain....get a clue cutie!
Look, I understand that in today's society, image is everything...But why waste all your free time primping....and who has the $ for all that crap anyways???? It is fine to take care of yourself and buy nice things but $175.00 to go get your hair done?

I work with people who buy their children $100 dollar shoes....the kicker is, these children don't even walk yet! (roll of the eyes, and a heavy sigh)....My hat is off to Pink. Thank you for opening some peoples eyes. If this song offends you, you are probably the person it is aimed at!!!
I know that I don't wanna be a Stupid Girl!

Smurk
Alrighty then.... I have eaten some much needed food and I feel much better than I did. My BIL came up to spend the night. It cracks me up to listen to D and R talk. They have sucha good relationship...Even though the eldest spent most of his early years agonizing the youngest. The stories they tell. I have been in this family now for 10 years...So I pretty much feel as if I am 1 of them. The one thing that the family has mentioned was that if D and I ever separated, they would get rid of him and keep me. D did not think that it was so funny though......(as I smurk).
Blahhh
Hello friends. I fear that I have bee somewhat lax in writting for the last few days. Things have been a little crazy. I am still not much in the mood to rant today...I am so blahhhh! So how about everyone send suggestions to me and I will rant about it. I feel so unfocused right now. TGIF!!!
That is the only thing that got me out of bed today! Until later....

Ok..Thank G-d that this day is over! I am tired of people talking about Satan and Satan's son and all that crap. Have these people ever done anything except watch TV? Maybe they actually paid attention in church this weekend? Who knows with all the crap in the world today maybe this is just a culmination of things to come....People are too absorbed in their own lives to even take their head out of the sand for more than five minutes....Do you have any idea how many people actually said, "Iwouldn't want my child to be born today..." My oh my...I don't get it...can someone get a reality check plese!
The Corvette In My Life
So recently my husband and I purchased a 1994 Corvette. It is in great condition. We drove around town this weekend in it with the top off. Then we started looking for the long way home. Well, we found it about 8 hours later. It was a fantastic evening. So the point of the story is this...My brother in law has car envy. Of course he refers to this as a phalic symbol of some sort...
The story is hilarious! I laughed out loud several times!
"Hey R, if it were super secret...Why talk about it?!" Gotta' love him!
Anywho....
So today's rant is this...Why must people speed up when you try to pass them on the interstate? Any time I try to pass a person no matter what they are driving, (whether it's a Chevette or a Corvette) they speed up.WTF. I think to my self this is not Nascar, (thank G-d), we are not drag racing...WHY MUST YOU SPEED UP??? (DISCLAIMER:This story does not usually occur in the Vette.)I catch my husband doing the same thing, if he's not focused on getting to where we're going. He could be in the fast lane (70MPH here people) doing 55-60...People are pissed, lots of fans telling us we are #1, but if they try to pass...HE SPEEDS UP! Why? I don't get it it must be psychological or something...

Last night...
Last night I did a little shopping at Lowes. I did not have that much in my basket when I arrived at the checkout. (I walk up,smiling "hello..."I say...) Her attitude sucked! I don't understand why some people are so pissed off at the world. I worked retail for 9 years...So I know how it feels to be behind the counter, register or whatever...But at any time I could have left, why stay somewhere for such small pay if you are so unhappy. This girl looked only...Oh....18-19??...But still get a hold of yourself and move on....I remember thinking sometimes that the things in my life at 13-18 I was going to die from it...Without any question...But I didn't so, even though she was rude, lazy, and snotty...I hope she finds some rest in who she is eventually.

Why are humans so dumb?
Why are humans so dumb? You put together a group of people and even the most intelligent people as a crowd instantly...Become stupid, irrational, and panicky. Has anyone had any experience with this? I think we all have...
